Saturday 1st August saw Bacton Village celebrating the 124th Flower Show and Fayre on the historic meadows opposite Bacton Manor. The very first Flower Show took place on the front lawn of the Manor House in 1902.

Jeffries were delighted to once again exhibit at the event, showing off the very latest Subaru range and the new Mitsubishi L200 and Outlander PHEV models.

Once again, as has become customary, we sponsored a ride and 2026 saw the return of Martin Loades Golden Gallopers. For the duration of the Show all rides were completely free for everyone, giving much pleasure to all generations.

As a family business we’ve been very keen to support this wonderful village event for many decades.

We were also delighted to sponsor Stowmarket Concert band to be present playing throughout the afternoon for all to enjoy.

The produce section of the Flower Show was well supported despite the difficult growing season and children’s classes were particularly well supported; all in all a stunning show of crafts, cookery, produce, photography and floral art. Other highlights of the show included an aerobatic display, Wheel 2 Wheel bike display, show sports, animal petting farm, vintage vehicles and tractors, children’s fun fair, Stowmarket Flower Club’s annual competition display, Green Dragon Morris, rural crafts, local stalls and all the usual refreshments.
